Energy Observer comes to Cape Town

There's never a dull day in PR, but some days are more thrilling than others – especially when it involves a unique French vessel spreading the message of clean energy.

This week the Energy Observer docked in Cape Town, it's 80th stop on a seven-year journey that started in 2017 and will end in 2024. The first-of-its-kind vessel is powered by the sun, wind and hydropower and relies on lithium-ion batteries and hydrogen as storage solutions.

The Energy Observer aims to be a floating testing ground for these technologies, but also intends for the solutions to be scaled for use in countries around the world as they implement energy transition policies to reduce emissions that cause climate change.
